Tomato tart
August 18, 2020 | Main Dish
I adapted the recipe from fitsPau* because I wanted a quick and healthier dough. The original recipe call for goat cheese. I am sure that it’s good but kept forgetting to buy it so I used mozzarella cheese. I love that pastry dough because it fast and healthy.
Dough ingredients:
- 200g whole wheat flour / farine semi-complète ( I used slept)
- 20 ml oil ( she used olive oil – I use vegetal because this is what I had. I feel that any oil will be good)
- 85ml water / eau- salt
- Place the dough in a pie mold.
Filling ingredients:
- 2 big tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 big onions
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs balsamic vinegar / vinaigre balsamique
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbs sour cream
- 2 Tsp old style mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- Italian herbs
- Preheat oven at 350 degree F
- Add oil in a pan and brown the onions. Finish them with the balsamic vinegar
- Combine the onions with the cheese, mustard and sour cream
- Fill the pie crust with the mixture then add the tomatoes.
- Add seasoning
- Bake the tart until the edges are golden brown (approximately 40min)
Bon appétit!!
